The Youth Health Centre is looking for two grade 10 reps to join the advisory council. If you are interested in youth health and leadership opportunities this position might be right for you. Please see Ms. Boucher in room C351 for more information.

There will be Open Improv today after school in the Drama Room B223, everyone is welcome.


Halifax West Anime Club will have their first meeting this Thursday in room C240 from 3:30-4:30.  All are welcome!
The school Library has free passes available for an upcoming preview of the new movie "Mastermind". The passes are for 2 and are for next Wednesday night, September 28th. To enter in the draw, fill out a ballot in the school Library. The draw will take place Thursday!  Good luck.
All students interested in raising awareness about mental wellness at Halifax West are invited to a jack.org meeting on today at lunch in room C228.
Don’t forget warriors! For anyone wanting to get involved with student government, you can sign up for any ministry committee on the bulletin board outside of the gov room.
Student Price Cards are being sold this Thursday at lunch in the cafeteria for 10$ each. These cards are a great way to get discounts at all of your favourite stores!
There will be a world involvement committee meeting this Thursday at lunch in room C144. Everyone is welcome!


The boys "A" soccer team got off on a slow start but finished strong with a convincing 6-0 victory over CP Allen last night in Bedford.
Senior Peter Fountoukis and rookie Jose Ramirez led the way with 2 goals each.  Ayoub Alarabi and Burkey Macintosh rounded off the scoring.
Ahmed Haroun claimed the shutout. The boys are reminded of their quick meeting Thursday at lunch in room c146.

This Friday the Bella Rose is having a BBQ at lunch. Don’t forget to bring some change!

This Saturday the World Involvement Ministry is hosting a car wash at the Irving on the Bedford highway from 10 to3. Be sure to come on out to get your car cleaned!

The Keshen Goodman Library wishes to thank you for the overwhelming amount of interest in volunteering with the library.  They had over 100 applications!  Due to the large amount of interest, they were only able to contact students who were chosen for an interview. If you do not receive an interview, you are encouraged you to re-apply in January for the winter term. Again, thank you from the Keshen Goodman Library!

Encounters with Canada is offering a price reduction on one of their courses.  The Communications & Social Media week (Oct 9-15) is being promoted to pump up the numbers of attendees...$75 off.
