This year’s first coffee house is at 7 pm on Wednesday September 28th. Feel free to come out and showcase any talent you have or just come out to support others! The sign up list is posted outside the Bella Rose in the drama hall! Only 2 dollars at the door!
On Wednesday at lunch is our first meeting of the West Christian Fellowship. It will be in C345, Ms. Symonds-White's room. Everyone is welcome!

The One Stop Warrior Shop is now open on the third floor!  Come check out the merchandise in room C352: west wear, school supplies, personal items.  Drop by and let us know what other items you would like to see.
There will be an important meeting for all students going on the Vimy trip Wednesday at lunch in room C125.
There will be a jack.org meeting on Wed. At lunch in room C229.  All students interested in mental wellness and upcoming events are encouraged to attend.
There is a Yearbook meeting today at lunch in room A317.  New members welcome.
Grade 12 students interested in being sponsored for the Loran Scholarship must submit a letter to guidance outlining the following: strong academic performance (minimum cumulative average of 85%) , strong character, commitment to serving others, leadership, independent thinking, and a willingness to take meaningful risks.  Students must be a Canadian Citizen or permanent resident. Deadline is Monday, October 3rd at 3:20 PM. HWHS is able to sponsor 3 students who will then be able to complete the online application.  Please see the Guidance Bulletin board and visit loranscholar.ca for more information.
Halifax West High is exploring the idea of building a life-size 3D Scanner using the Raspberry Pi. So, if you have an interest in programming, networking computers, using the Raspberry Pi or managing technical projects please consider participating in this exciting new project.

For students and staff interested in this new project you are invited to an introductory meeting today at lunch in Mr. Watt's Room (A310).
Students interested in going on to post-secondary studies are invited to sign up for information workshops offered by the guidance department. These workshops will be offered over all blocks in various locations.
