Grade 12 students are invited to sign up for information session in the guidance office.  These sessions will explore topics relevant to post-secondary training and include.

Halifax West Multicultural Show: On Tuesday, November 1 at lunchtime there will be a very important meeting for all students planning to perform in the Multicultural Show. The meeting will be held in the Green Room (Room B222) in the Performing Arts hallway.  Also, there is still time to get involved in the show! We are looking for performers to show off the amazing cultural diversity here at the West! So if you wish to showcase your rich cultural heritage through dance, music or some other performance medium, please come to Tuesday’s meeting! The grad photographer will return on Wednesday morning, November 2.  The appointment sign-up sheet is in the main office.

November bus passes will be distributed today and tomorrow Tuesday at lunch and after school in room A285. 

The first night of Drama 12 Productions will take place Wednesday November 2nd at 7 pm in the Bella Rose Arts Center. Come enjoy three original plays written, directed and performed by the Drama 12 and 11 students. 

The boys "A" soccer team qualified for this year Provincial Championships by beating Cobequid Educational Centre from Truro 5-0 Saturday afternoon. The boys started with great passion and energy scoring 2 goals in the first 10 minutes to clinch the win.Curtis Gangl, Ayoub Alarabi, Peter Fountoukis, Abdullah Nimer and Logan Harrington led the scoring while Armando Bocaneala and Ahmed Haroun shared the shutout. The boys are reminded of a very quick but important meeting today in room C146 at lunch."

Xara youth theatre is looking for new members! The youth theatre us a chance to grow and gain confidence in young girls through music, theatre, yoga and other movements! They meet Monday evenings in downtown Dartmouth. For more information, visit xara.ca

All students who signed up for this year’s trick or eat fundraiser are asked to pick up a form in the gov room afterschool.

There is a GSA meeting today in room C228 at lunch. All students are welcome.

Congratulations to the boys’ hockey team on their 2 wins this weekend.  On Thursday the boys came back from being down 3-0 to defeat Millwood 6-3.  On Saturday night at Centennial the boys beat Dartmouth High 4-3 to improve their record to 3-0 in league play.  The boys play Prince Andrew tomorrow night in Dartmouth and return to Centennial this Saturday to take on Cole Harbour High.  Good luck to our hockey Warriors.
