Grade twelve students if you are interested in going to Acadia on November 18th, please bring your forms to the Guidance Office ASAP.  The seats are filling up.

A reminder to all students parking in the parking lot is by Permit Only.  Your permit must be visible because tickets are being issued.

Would the following students please go to the guidance office for a very important message:  Tak Bir Bhandari and Ian LaMoore.

Last Thursday’s Scholarships/Student loans workshop that was cancelled due to the Remembrance Day ceremony has been rescheduled: it will be Wednesday, Nov. 16 during 2nd C in room C325.

There will be a drama production group meeting for the GSA on Thursday at lunch in room C228.

There wi‎ll be a jack.org meeting on Wednesday at lunch in room C351. 

On Friday, November 25th the guidance department will be taking grade 12 students on a tour of St. Mary’s University.  The bus will leave here shortly after 9 am and return before the end of the school day.  Students will have the opportunity to apply and have the application fees waived.  In previous years these applications were reviewed onsite and students where offered scholarships that same day.  If you are interested in joining us, please come to the guidance office to get the paperwork required.  The first students to return the completed paperwork will be added to the bus.  Space is limited so you must return you paperwork by November 23rd. 

There will be a short but important meeting for the boys soccer team today in room c146 at lunch.

Attention all warriors. The signup sheet for this year’s prom dodge ball tournament is now posted on the bulletin board by the gym. Each team must consist of 5 members and there must be at least one girl. There is an entrance fee of $5 per teammate.

Student Price Cards are being sold this Thursday in the caf at lunch for $10. Don’t forget to come buy one and get great discounts at all of your favorite stores.

Mark your calendars because this year’s prom expo is rapidly approaching. Sunday November 27th from 1 to 4pm come join us here at Halifax West for this awesome expo. There is an entry fee of $2 or a food donation. We hope to see you there!

It is now time for the annual coat and boot drive for the Brunswick street mission! For the next two weeks, bring all of your gently used winter clothing into your c block classes. The class that brings in the most by November 28th will receive a prize!

Open studio in B327 at lunch is cancelled for Tuesday, November 15th as Ms. Perry is away on a trip.

The Girls Basketball team won their home opener 76-50 over Millwood. Alex Doane and Shakira Emmerson each with 19 points and Haley Kardas with 13 points.

Knitting club will take place  Wednesday, November 16th at lunch in room C123. Everything will be supplied.  All are welcome.
