Dear Parents/Guardians,

I am pleased to inform you that the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development has announced its capital repair list for the 2017-18 fiscal year and Halifax West High has again received funding for upgrades.

This funding will be used by the Halifax Regional School Board to continue with the next phase of replacing the heat pumps. The board is currently developing a schedule for the project but we anticipate there will be minimal impact on the school as the work will be planned to occur outside of instructional hours.

If you have any questions about this project, I would encourage you to contact the school and speak with one of the administrators. They should be able to answer any of your questions or direct you to the appropriate contact at the board for a response.

I want to thank the provincial government for their continued investment in Halifax West High.
