Believe in Hope is an organization that promotes awareness and provides education on mental health services from the IWK. Believe in Hope will be selling jewelry made by Amos Pewter of Mahone Bay in memory of Alexis Fletcher. The organization’s mission, through the sale of this jewelry, is to help more young people recognize the signs and symptoms of mental illness and get early diagnosis and treatment that they desperately need to lead a full and productive life. The profits from the sale of the jewelry will go directly to the Alexis Fletcher IWK Adolescent Mental Health Endowment which provides funding for schools in Nova Scotia for education and awareness on severe mental illness disorders such as depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive, and anxiety. The jewelry will be sold at Halifax West High School at lunch time on Thurs. May 26th and Fri. May 27th for $20 per piece. Cash only.
