There is a GSA meeting today at lunch in room C228.

Grade 12 students are invited to sign up for information session in the guidance office.  These sessions will explore topics relevant to post-secondary training and include:  Commerce and Arts, Upgrading, Engineering, Science and Nursing, Applying Online, Scholarships and Financing and NSCC.  The workshops will be offered in all blocks.  The sessions start October 11 and will be finished on November 16th.

There will be a jack.org meeting on Wednesday at lunch in room C229.

Student Government will be hosting a fundraiser spaghetti dinner on Tuesday October 25th from 5 to 9pm at the Lower Deck on Lacewood Drive. It will feature performances from Jack Murtha, Will Robbins, Jacob Hatfield, Ethan Protheroe and Angelo Hollett. Tickets are on sale in the caf for 10$. Don’t forget to bring your friends!

There are now donation jars in your D block classes as well as the main office in support of the Haiti crisis. Please bring in some change to help us help Haiti.

It’s that time of year again! It’s almost Halloween and that means pod decorating is upon us. Along with your A block classes, get out and get creative! Judging of the decorations will take place on Monday October 31st and the best pod will receive an ice cream party! Happy decorating everyone!

The boys "A" soccer team finished off the regular season with 2 wins this weekend.  Friday night the west squeezed by Dartmouth High 2-1 and Sunday afternoon the warriors cruised by Lockview 9-1.  Abdullah Bajunaid scored both goals Friday evening to lead the west to the evening win. In yesterdays action, senior Enrico Rodriguez led the way with 5 goals while Logan Harrington had 2 and Jose Ramirez had 1.  The boys return to action this Thursday in the capital region play downs. Good luck to the fellas.

The West Baseball Team's undefeated season came to an end on Saturday in the provincial semi-final losing to Glace Bay 2-1 in a great baseball game. Congratulations to all players for another very successful season.

Could all of the students who plan to attend the Dalhousie Tour with Mr. Scott on Wednesday, October 19th, please bring in your permission slips on Tuesday and hand them into the office. 

Congratulations to the boys hockey team on their 2-1 shootout win in their home opener Saturday night over Millwood.  Ben Penrose scored our only goal in regulation and Ryan Maunder and Richie Abbass scored in the shootout. Lucasz Kolanko got the win in nets.  Good luck to the boys in this weekends Cheetah Challenge in Bedford.

The girls volleyball team had a strong weekend going 3 and 1 in pool play before falling in a tough 3 set battle with CPA.   Lejla Hadzamurtezic, Megan Anthony and Marin Hawley all had outstanding performance along with the rest of the girls.
